My husband and I honeymooned on Harbour Island back in 2002. Since then we have been back three subsequent times. It is a favorite destination of ours and a true Bahamian paradise. The island is small, but offers exquisite lodging and dining, as well as the expected sea and surf exploration the Caribbean is known for.

Just some of the beautiful creatures we share this world with.

Ambergris Caye has been a destination on two occasions thus far. Located off the mainland of Belize one can partake in some of the best scuba diving found anywhere, or simply relax on any one of its numerous secluded beaches.

The natural world around us...how can one resist wanting to capture and share its beauty at every turn.

Of course I would love Vancouver. Who wouldn't once they have visited? I rediscovered the city back in 2006...and regained my citizenship! I am never at a loss for scenes to capture; whether downtown or in North Vancouver where I was born.

Orvieto is an enchanting Hill Town about an hour from Rome in Southwestern Umbria. There is something to behold around every corner and down every narrow passageway.

I wanted to be an architect when I was young, and it's what I started studying when I started college. Architecture still speaks to me wherever I travel - near or far.

As with master painters of the past, sometimes a still life will do.

Sometimes you need to get close to your subject to make it more interesting. And sometimes just a hint is all that's needed.

Ahhhh, Paris. I was fortunate to be offered a ten-month gig assisting in opening offices in both Washington, DC and Paris for a small start-up venture capital firm. I will never tire of visiting Paris, a true "City of Light."

The first time I saw Paris (not to be confused with the movie The Last Time I Saw Paris) was in December 1992. I bought a book while there published by Hazan entitled Atget Paris. I have always loved Eugène Atget's work and fell in love with this book...all 785 pages!

Even after so many years having lived on the East Coast, this is home to me. The better part of my youth was spent in Oregon in the Willamette Valley in Corvallis. I will never tire of exploring its natural beauty.

This is where my love of photography gets its start. Black and white images that grab hold of your attention. Tonal quality, shadows and light.  What more could a photographer ask for...

One day I will begin the arduous task of scanning my black and white negatives from years ago and choosing images I feel are worthy of printing. But for now with digital technology I always shoot in color and later decide whether I will process the images in black and white or color for a final print. Sometimes it's clear that the image should only be printed in black and white (or monochrome), as is the case with these selections.

Folios are intended to be displayed, as an alternative to being hung on a wall. Each folio is approximately 8 ½" x 11" and includes three signed prints in a particular series, along with its corresponding Colophon page. If you are lucky enough to still have wall space, prints can be framed as a series or individually. All materials, including folder, are archival. Printed in limited editions of 10 per series. While I don’t often shoot people I have participated in a model shoot in the Virginia countryside, and have taken the random shot here and there of subjects caught in the moment.

The first image is of singer-songwriter Jimmy Buffet taken in 2008 at Atlantis in the Bahamas. RIP Jimmy.

The second and third images of Steven Tyler while performing before a private gig in Orlando in 2004.

The fourth is of Smokin’ Joe Robinson while he played at a private wedding celebration in 2010. Joe was just 18 years old then. Two years before this he won Australia’s Got Talent 2008 when 16 years old.

The fifth portrait is of a beautiful jewelry designer in New Mexico.

I am pleased to announce that I have opened a small studio with gallery space just off the shops and restaurants of El Paseo in Palm Desert, CA. On display are framed works, matted works and individual prints of varying sizes. All works are printed in limited editions of 25 or 8 as noted on the print.
